It's just the sun coming up he says
as she buries her head in his chest,
awoken by the absurdly bright light
shining directly in her eyes,
at this ungodly hour she asks?
it is 6 a.m he replies,
at least it's a new day.

Actually she says, it's another day.
And I love you

the simplicity of this piece is lovely... that moment of awakening (or of not having gone to sleep) and the sun coming up...

this would traditionally be called an AUBADE -- a love song at dawn... on my site we did a community project where some of the writers who stop by all contributed and aubade... if you're interested in taking a look at them:

your writing and feel for words is developing before my eyes with each new post you put up... you should continue to pursue your craft with words...

and do you mind if I put a link to your site up???

see ya again soon...
